Growing up on Chicago’s far southeast side what is now known as “Terror Town”
I made it through Gang/Drug Violence and childhood traumas. As an adult, I know what it feels like, through personal experience to not have a dime in my pocket, to be hungry, sleeping on the floor with no help in sight. I know what it’s like to be hurt, betrayed, and bound by satanic oppression with seemingly no way out. I’m a survivor and a overcomer because of God’s love, His Grace, the truth of the word of God and the Power of the Holy Spirit.
Early in my walk with God during a church revival I heard the speaker say “If you are going to truly know Christ intimately and hear his voice it is critical that you learn about prayer and develop a consistent lifestyle of prayer” I took that charge seriously and learned about prayer and intercession under sound biblical teachers and intercessors changing the entire trajectory of my life. Prayer and Intercession plays a significant role in my life daily.
No trauma of any kind must consume or destroy your life and dreams. It does not matter if it is childhood molestation, suicide thoughts, bullying, offense, rejection, injustice, divorce, betrayal, insecurities, or anything else. You can rise above it all and realize a life free from the sting of torment, trauma, and pain. Yes, you can experience God’s unconditional love, acceptance, and win following God’s pathway.
“The pathway to victory and wholeness is a life pursuit. There are no quick fixes.
While there are many resources that can assist anyone on their journey; God through His son Jesus must be the fundamental and foundational pathway to receive results that last. This is, not only because He fashioned and created the human being but that He is also all knowing. He knows everything about you, and He knows the best way to help you. The result will be fruitfulness and wholeness in this life and living eternally with Him.
The starting point is absolute surrender and inviting Jesus to be the Lord of your life. This pathway begins with the new birth experience it is when a person becomes born again. This spiritual experience takes place when anyone accepts the gift of salvation given to all humanity by God in which He demonstrated His love for every human being through the sacrifice, death, burial, and resurrection of his son Jesus the Christ.
This pathway is a combination of several spiritual truths, and it has a guide who is also a gift given to those that are born again; this guide is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, the third person of the Holy Trinity. He will lead you every step of the way.
It is the voice of the Holy Spirit in prayer that helps the believer through Gods word dismantle pain and confusion from the traumatized soul; positioning them to receive healing from soul and emotional traumas, wounds, and scars; guiding the believer to wholeness and victory in every area of their life.
However, we must do the work by embracing and following spiritual truths such as fasting’s, consecrations, working out our own soul salvation with fear and trembling, receiving with meekness the engrafted word of God, taking every thought captive, casting down imaginations, presenting our bodies as living sacrifices unto God which is our reasonable service and becoming doers of Gods words and not hearers only.
The Holy Spirit sent from God the Father, testifying of Christ, speaking Gods words, enlightening our human spirit is what helps to get us to the place of victory and wholeness. We must study Gods word, but we also must know the Holy Spirit.
He is our God appointed guide on the pathway into all truth.
