We live in a world where data is king. Numbers don’t lie, right? They give us a clear picture of success or failure. Businesses, governments, and individuals rely on data to make decisions every day.
Corporations:
- Measure market share.
- Use KPIs to determine employee value.
Governments:
- The entire political process is data-driven.
- Politicians and pundits analyze poll data to plan their next moves.
- Votes (data) determine winners.
People:
- Before buying a big-ticket item, we often check the data—customer reviews and consumer reports.
Interestingly, ancient societies also used data to make decisions. This isn’t new. They gathered information to decide when to plant crops, who to marry, or when and how to go into battle.
But as technology advances in a world that’s increasingly godless and immoral, something concerning is happening. Data is becoming more than just a tool; it’s becoming an object of worship. People are starting to treat data as the final authority. But that’s idolatry and it’s false. God and His Word are the true final authority.
The Real Authority: Why Data Isn’t Everything
It’s never over until God says it’s over. Why? Because we serve a God who isn’t confined by science, the natural world, or data.
The Israelites were outnumbered in battle many times, yet they won because God was on their side—even when the data was against them. The Apostle Paul and the disciples overcame impossible odds because God was with them. Daniel and countless others succeeded when the odds and data were stacked against them. And so can you, through faith and patience, standing on God’s Word.
The scriptures make it clear: God is the God of the impossible. All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are in Him. There’s nothing that AI knows that God hasn’t known first. AI is just what its name suggests—Artificial Intelligence. It only knows what it’s programmed to know.
God is True Intelligence. He doesn’t lie (Numbers 23:19). He gives the most accurate data, and no one programs Him. Nothing is hidden from God; He sees and knows everything, even the thoughts and intents of our hearts.
TAKE ACTION NOW: UNCHAIN YOUR FAITH WITH THESE STEPS
You can break free, grow strong in faith, and reclaim God’s power in your life.
Know God
- Learn about His attributes, character, and great power by studying the scriptures. All scripture is valuable, but when I feel distant from God, I turn to the Book of Isaiah, chapters 40 through 49. Remember, it’s those who know God who are strong and do great things (Daniel 11:32).
Seek First
- Discipline yourself to not only pray and worship daily but also to seek God’s counsel, wisdom, and knowledge first before turning to any other source (Psalms 63:1-8).
Trust God’s Process
- Tap into the Holy Spirit within you. One of the Holy Spirit’s roles is to lead and guide you into truth. The Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of Truth. He will enlighten you according to scripture, giving you wisdom and knowledge from God’s rich treasures (John 16:13; Colossians 2:3).
So, let’s seek God for knowledge and wisdom first. Let’s worship Him alone and use AI only as a tool.
Scriptures to Reflect On:
Isaiah 55:11, Luke 1:37, John 1:3, Colossians 1:16-17, Colossians 2:3, Hebrews 4:12-13
