Chicago has a hunger and homelessness crisis and it’s growing.
Poverty, hunger, and homelessness are nothing new. Jesus said himself the poor will always be around.
This is personal for me because there was a time when all I could afford was to pay rent and utilities and get gas so I could go to work and school. There were only a few dollars left for food. Even though I tried to make those few dollars stretch it was not enough to keep me from blacking out due to hunger.
